How to Make Him Regret Not Choosing You & Look Cool Doing It!

We’ve all been there, he chooses someone else… and it’s not you. It’s painful, but here’s how to make him regret not choosing you instead!

They say “all is fair in love and war.” I do not agree. Instead, all is extremely unfair in love and war. Modern day tactics have become a little underhanded when it comes to affairs of the heart. So, listen up, if you have been scorned. This is how to make him regret not choosing you.

You see, we all like different people. We’re all attracted to different types, and that’s a good thing. Can you imagine if we all had the same type? It would be a bloodbath of shattered emotions!

No, thankfully, one person’s Brad Pitt is another person’s Gollum. Call it some kind of evolutionary trick to save us all from killing each other in the name of love. The problem is, not everyone is attracted to someone completely different. What if you find yourself with a rival in the love stakes?

This is where there is nothing at all that’s fair in love and war!

As I love a good story, I’m going to impart one on you now.

I had two friends who both liked the same guy. They were good friends with each other before the bloodshed, but now? Not so much. You could go as far as to say that they are sworn enemies.

Seriously, when did we start fighting over guys with such seriousness?

My friends were quite normal, level-headed people, but then, let’s call him Brad, entered the scene. Yes, I will admit that Brad was hot, if you like that serious, brooding type. I do not, thankfully, otherwise it would have been a trio of sworn enemies. I don’t have the energy for that.

Brad, in fairness, did not lead either of them on. He simply had that flirtatious nature that some people have without realizing it. The problem is, that politeness/flirting was enough to make both of my friends think that he wanted them individually. [Read: Flirty vs friendly and how to read the subtle differences]

First the remarks started, then the backstabbing, then the cattiness. Finally, the claws at dawn… yes, it turned into an actual physical fight that resulted in one friend visiting the Emergency Room, thanks to a false nail ripping off her entire natural nail underneath. No joke. I told you it was a bloodbath. How can a fingernail cause so much blood?! Anyway, I digress.

Neither of my friends ended up with Brad, but that didn’t stop them going on an all out offensive, trying to make him regret his choice. All the while, their friendship lay in tatters, somewhere alongside my friend’s ruined nail. Did their offensive work? Well, Brad did tell me that he wished he had asked one of them out, but I guess that ship has now sailed. [Read: How guys flirt – 15 subtle things they do to impress a girl]

How to make him regret not choosing you: 6 easy but powerful steps

Adult Clothing and Toys

The reason I told you this story is because it showed me one thing: how to make him regret not choosing you. If you want to show a guy what he’s missing, there are a few things to bear in mind.

#1 Avoid fighting over him. My friend didn’t make this point very successfully, but it’s best to avoid fighting over a guy. Why? Because it looks desperate. If he is going to turn around and say he wants you, he’s far less likely to do it after he’s seen you with your fingernail hanging off. Lesson learned! #2 Make changes, but do them for you. They say that when someone changes their hair, that means they’re moving on. Make some changes, but not necessarily on your appearance unless you want to. Make those changes because you want to, and not because you want him to turn around with his tongue hanging out. [Read: 15 really powerful ways to make a guy like you again that works like a charm]

#3 Show him you don’t care, even you have to fake it. The best way to make him regret not choosing you is to show him that you don’t care that he didn’t. Of course, inside you’re seriously annoyed that you weren’t the one he opted for, but he doesn’t have to know that! Go out, laugh, smile, enjoy yourself!

#4 Make use of your social media. Ah, this one is underhanded, but the best way to showcase your good work is to make your new, exciting life very visible on your social media pages. Yes, selfies, check ins, tags, you name it, go for it! Just make sure it’s natural. [Read: 30 really wicked ways to make a guy jealous and win his attention]

#5 Assess why you’re so bothered. Seriously, if he didn’t choose you, why do you care about him now? That’s the question to ask yourself. Indeed, learning how to make him regret not choosing you hinges on you knowing the answer to this question.

If he didn’t choose you, that’s his problem, his mistake. You’ll go on to meet someone who does care and will choose you. The ironic thing is, when you do that, he’ll probably pop back into your life! [Read: How to tell when a guy is jealous – 25 green hints he just can’t hide]

#6 Live your best life. You might think this is a no-brainer, but if you want him to regret his choice, show him by making yourself happy and doing everything you’ve ever wanted. I mentioned making changes earlier, but this is more of an overhaul.

If you don’t like something, change it. This includes everything from your job to your home, your look to your hobbies. Whatever you need to change, go for it and watch your confidence grow.

Still wondering how to make him regret not choosing you? Show him you don’t care, and that’s the best tactic of them all. He will wonder why you’re not bothered about his choice, and even if he’s with someone else, i.e. the person he chose, his ego will make him question your standing on the whole subject. Surely that’s a great feeling? [Read: Tired of chasing? How to make a guy want you instead]

If you’re curious about how my friends’ situation turned out, well, they’re still not friends. Brad is still hooked up with someone else, and he didn’t seem to regret not choosing either of them enough to go back on his decision. Maybe because rather than letting Brad see what he had missed out on, both of my friends went down a slightly different route.

Yes, he told me he wished he’d asked one of them out, but it was a fleeting thought, not something implanted in his brain. Why? Because rather than living their lives and focusing on themselves, they both tried to be everywhere he was. [Read: How to make him want you back – The art of getting a guy to miss you]

Seriously, whenever he posted something on Facebook, checked himself in, they turned up, both of them, despite the fact they weren’t speaking. To be honest, it smacked of desperation. Brad noticed it. Perhaps that is why he never seriously regretted his choice.

If you want to know how to make him regret not choosing you, turn your thoughts inwards. Ask yourself what you gain by chasing a man who didn’t choose you first. You deserve to be his first and only choice. If you must persuade him, that’s not going to feel good at all.

Understanding how to make him regret choosing you is really a decision over whether you want him to regret it and ask you out, or whether you just want to sock it to him and move on. But either ways, really, is it even worth it?
